As most are aware there is currently a shortage of skilled workers in North America (Canada and the USA), it’s talked about in mainstream media, social media and you may have even heard about it from your friends or family.
I’ve been working in my trade for seventeen years and can confirm that the skilled trades shortage is true, there’s many reasons why it exists from the Boomers retiring en masse to a lack of funding for apprenticeship programs to a negative portrayal of the trades in modern culture.
I aim to dispel some of the negative stereotypes about working in the trades and inform you about the limitless opportunities that are available to anyone who decides to “get on the tools”.
